Dots?

What are these 'dots' we're supposed to be marking?

I have the same question, and would also like to add that the method for noting the number of "dots" isn't covered in the tutorial (except for a reference to the Field Guide, which doesn't actually have any information on the subject) and doesn't seem very intuitive. The row of white radio buttons which turn grey when selected seems confusing; should a tag with 2 white dots be recorded by selecting the first 2 white dots in the row, thus turning them grey, or by selecting the last 3 white dots in the row, thus making the number of white dots on the record match the number on the tag, or what?

Some clarification would be very helpful here. Thank you for considering my concerns.

Sometimes the tags with the numbers on have also dots on them. Just click the appropriate number of dots!

We're working on making a "field guide to tags". Hopefully that will clear up the confusion.

We now have a section about tags in the Field Guide. http://www.condorwatch.org/#/field-guide

Useful update to the fieldguide - but would still like images of tags of different colours, especially different shades of blue and what purple is supposed to look like as compared to blue. (e.g. http://www.condorwatch.org/subjects/standard/534c4e70d31eae054307c583.JPG: are all the blue tags blue, or is #4 purple? What should a purple tag look like?)

BTW don't remember seeing a green tag... do they really exist?
