Condor Watch Talk
3 GE's at once - a little unusual...
a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
I'm out of practice - looks like Blk6 1 dot but I really can't tell for sure so opted for x instead
#scale WHT78 = 21.5lbs and showing a slight aversion to heights 😃
there's probably a carcass somewhere down there but who knows where.
Possibly a baby T-Rex ...or a T-Rex wannabe? Certainly a great Halloween outfit.
unusual location for these guys
see my comments in discussion board...
Bernice, while being stared at, suddenly has an awkward moment when she realizes that this is an adult only dinner party
Sad observation - BLK35 & 45 died 7 days apart in 2013 of lead poisoning. This pic shows they could have eaten together for a no. of years.
interesting social dynamic - adults on one carcass and juves on the other.
thanks for sharing. At least its a change from the jelly horse!
I really don't know where to start on this one! Umm, ...maybe a nice abstract or the edge of a space-time continuum worm hole!
The scrappy (mangy?) looking eagle. Note whitish tail feathers ...possible immature Bald eagle??
#scale BLK74 (574) = 20.5lbs
A juve stampede! The entire "herd" is pointed and moving in same direction.
Hard to classify but looks like a GE on carcass - note ruffled feathers & stiff tail. BLK5 stays in distance. Next pic in sequence shows GE
#scale BLK34 underlined = a fuzzy 17.5 lbs Everyone is milling about looking for the next food delivery - quite pavlovian!
BLK2 1dot (602) eating well and looking good five days after release.
If there is only one way to get into a pic, a raven will figure it out...
525 about a week after release ...and about to be put into his place for eating out of turn.
#scale BLK 34 underlined = 18lbs
I seem to always see 481 sitting & eating like this. She knows how to stake out a position at the table! ...a juve alpha female?
Juve doctors in action "Hmmm, does anybody know what the heart is supposed to be attached to ...or is it a gall bladder?"
something odd about the pic. Time is only 5:26PM yet picture is dark - either camera exposure is off or the clock setting is off.
love the juve condor head on the R background, rising up out of the carcass
My compliments to the field staff for a thoughtful carcass arrangement which is now also being pondered by the raven. But what does it mean?
looks like two teams are lining up for a short yardage play over the carcass for a game of "carcass football"
#scale raven = 2lbs
Is is just me - but BLK18 3 dots looks a little scruffy and disheveled ...not well??
Orange 63, still looking quite regal in all of his years - (...almost goth-like) with a very pale neck.
good action pic - a social reminder of who is the boss.
TuVu complete & deference to a single condor - no challenge to the "picking order" despite their overwhelming numbers.
an early (failed) attempt at guitar making.
I think this particular series of blue tags is susceptible to damage & folding with several numbers being folded.
Wreness knows for sure.
TuVu weight = 14 -10 (for wooden box) = 4 lbs ...seems light for a TuVu. Is this weight correct?
only 22 ravens - at first glance it looked like more. Its amazing how they take up space and seem to be everywhere!
Is this a carcass equivalent of a condor rorschach test? 😃 hmm I see butterflies...
TuVu trying to imitate a condor on scale. Umm - not working for me (head is too small) Can't quite make out the weight
Aha ! ...busted! Caught red handed overturning the scale! ...pure vandalism. Such punks!
Love the head shot in the foreground, was he using one of those selfie sticks with a GoPro cam? Next time, must remember to face the camera
...or a golden eagle wearing a raven disguise?
#misID BLK77 3dots has no bio
Perhaps a new Olympic sport? ...the 5m carcass sprint (this of course is the juvenile division) The judge better watch his toes!
Wow - what an menacing, baleful stare! "...Step away and leave the carcass to ME!" The TV is completely intimidated.
...pure raven mayhem! I can almost hear it!
I tagged red 60 but afterwards realized there is no red60 😦 Probably should be red80. I should have known better ...my bad
Every time I see this pic, it makes me happy! What a great photo. This pic restores and balances karma, after seeing the jello horse.
#scale Blk17 (317) = 19lbs
Hmmm poss #misID Blk77 3dots had no bio.
Oops called it ORG 36 but probably was YLLW36. ...my bad...
Good action pic - everyone is arriving enmasse for the free food
Weird action pic. Looks like 2GEs (back & right) but unsure what is happening on right ... a GE caught with a mouthful of something??
1lb raven but the burning question is who wins photobomb contest? Does condor PB trump the raven PB or vice versa? 😃
Roving band of TuVu's, unsure of how to approach the carcass. ...you first ...no you first ...no I insist, you first!
Looks like the roving flash mob gathering to plan what to do next to the darn scale. I wonder if they will kick it over again??
Raven (a condor wannabe) on scale weighing 1lb soaking wet. It is just not as regal looking as when a condor stands on the podium
GE weight = 10lbs.
Great pic- dizzying but what a view! I think I threw my neck out turning my head sideways to see the perspective. ...ouch...
Junior coming home after an all night carcass bingefest & met by parents "Son where have you been we've been worrying about you all night!"
#scale Blk 51 (351) = 25.5lbs seems quite hefty- perhaps the landing has momentarily skewed the weight, making it heavier than expected?
#boar Also possible eye shine/glare of something just to right of carcass but can not 100% confirm.
#scale Blk11 3 dots (311) = 20lbs
Quite the after party with only scattered tiny morsels of food left and lots of hurt'n buckaroos with either headaches or busting guts.
Wow! Now that is quite the acrobatic extension by Wht31 on R side! How low can you go or perhaps part ostrich??
This is what happens when you don't tip at restaurants - ...no tip ...no food !
#scale Blk17 3 dots (317) = 19lbs
#scale Blk34 underlined = 19lbs
The score, Coyotes-1 vs. GEs -0 ...a little surprising. I'd love to see the outcome of this brewing food fight!
Red90 pausing in the midst of the growing food riot wonders aloud - "what happened to the good ol'days? "
A couple of the rare tags: Blk 3FW & Blu 28 together in same pic.
It is v. normal! Others will provide better description but this is condor "muffin" - a way the juvenile birds sometimes rest.
Wile E Coyote hides near his latest invention, the carcass trap, waiting for the roadrunner to appear.
Good eyes! That is a portable blind set up & used by field staff to monitor the feeding site. Or an alien lander ...your choice!
Hey CosmicLatte, we only use the scale hashtag when you can ID tag no. & you record the scale weight. Hope this helps. Happy tagging! 😃
Other than the jelly horse which always will win, this poor carcass should be in the running for carcass of the year award.
#scale Yllw8 = 23lbs (admittedly this one is hard to read)
Julia, who usually moved in a very adroit, nimble & cool manner suddenly slipped, landing face first into her meal ...or so she claims...
The raven feeding frezy is about to begin
great eagle pic - deciding where to make first incision. Also quite the view!
changing of the royal condor guard
The perspective is a little off but this could be one of our 1 eyed coyotes!
spot the coyote butt
#blind
A little unusual for the GE to not be on top of a carcass. I agree, v. pouty but perhaps getting ready to dominate with that laser stare
#thrush ?? This is a wild guess I'm not sure of species
#mouse ...taking it's ounce of flesh
Pondering the mysteries of life, or the view or most likely, how to unlock this carcass before everyone else arrives.
Nice trampoline - it makes the tongue pop out...
Thankfully Chuck was by himself when his narcolepsy kicked in leading to him falling asleep on the food & dreaming of dancing carcasses.
Nice coyote pic
Looks more like a very flat pancake rather than a muffin 😀
Looks like a scene from Cowboys & Aliens movie set - early on when aliens attacked cattle herd.
A style'n GE ...nice highlights...
Nice 2lb raven photo bomb...
A motley crew - looking somewhat hungry or perhaps disappointed, wondering where the free meal is located.
Is this blu11 with folded tag? Is she the one with the iconic headshot sun bathing and resting on scale?
Early condor gymnastic cheerleader team practice sessions. The pyramid stacking is proving to be extra tough this yr.
The dead horse is still the reigning champ but this one is aging nicely to become a contender for the most disgusting carcass title.
#bluebirds part of a very colorful cleanup crew.
#scale Blk75 3 dots (375) = 21.5 lbs
#owl - didn't know they made 'em this small... 😃
A small step with a goal working up to a BASE jump.
maybe its andy warhol's lips?? Or an extreme selfie??
#scale fluffed up GE = 13lbs
#scale Blk07 =16 lbs
possible a tango or pasodoble? I like the unison with the foot work sequence! I wonder what the music is?
#scale Blk14 underlined (514) = 22lbs
#scale BLK74 (574) = 20lbs
All the juves are waiting for their turn to eat while adults feast away.
Not much happening here but pic looks like an old colorized black & white photo.
Auditions for next strutting/ dance act- imagine "Putting on the Ritz" playing in background (...nice feather boa)
nah these are just reincarnated engineers.
Wow 33yrs old and still needs to be reminded to put feet out first before landing! 😃
Inquiring minds wonder if are there any post explosion carcass pics? That poor calf is gonna blow soon. I've see too many horse pics today
A rather intimidating, aggressive stare putting little Blk47 off of her meal plans & thinking "Do I have to eat with this guy?"
"It wasn't me! ...honest... It kinda fell over just as I was walking by. "
One of the very rare ones here for a brief, fleeting time.
#scale Blk30 (330) = 23lbs +/- (hard to read in the glare)
Hard to say what is going on other than total pandemonium & chaos!
I know that this pic has been dailyzoo'd before but, holy cow, what a great pic!
#misID Red 68 had no bio in this pic.
Dare I say, what a puny head or is it just me? 😃
another cover picture for the Carcass Monthly 😃
dry ribs for dinner anyone?
Really hard to determine the cause of the shiny object in middle left of pic. Possibly the shiny night-time eye of a #mouse ??
#scale Blk47underlined = 21 lbs
#human or maybe ravens figuring out how to wear clothes and get free carcasses.
Possibly some ravens in a snowstorm? 😃
D'uh ooh! - Geez I thought tag was Blk77 3dots but it came up with no bio. Nice wingspread but possible an error on my part. ...my bad...
Feeling outnumbered & overwhelmed by the disagreeable crowd, it was time to leave the diner with some dignity.
#misID - condor at back as a blank white tag - no bio
the fine art of carcass camouflage ...perfected... no wonder there are no birds here! 😃
#dailyzoo - somebody is a little ornery or hungry....
Adult condor in middle appears to have an injured back.
Condor at back L has some peculiar coloured (white?) feathers over lower half of body. not sure what is going on...
#human well at least I think so - may be it is something else muah-ha-ha-ha-ha 😮
Skirmish - someone overstepped the eating protocol.
...nice... another one! You're kidding right??
Blk22-released 4Jan09 RIPJuly2009 (Pb poisoning) - pic taken 2 weeks after release. Died 6 mon later-how quick is the onset of Pb poisoning?
Hard to tell but pretty certain this is a lone TV. (small size bare legs and beak)
R7 and Y6 - a couple of the older senior statesmen (15 & 20 yrs old) looking good and eating well. A testament to the good food! 😃
Not the most flattering condor picture. Jake wanted to take a selfie but forgot where he put the camera.
a dangerous place for a raven to lurk - soon it could become an albino raven! 😃
Is there a proximity relationship b/w raven & condor age? Seems like ravens are bolder with juves (but not adults)-plucking at tail feathers
Ravens always manage to keep the carcass between themselves and danger like the GE. Always close by ready to be a nuisance. 😃
I'm no birder but these birds look very small for a typical red tail hawk with wingspans of approx 50". What about sparrow hawk or merlin?
A bow or tip of the head to the one's superiors?
#scale BLK34 (534) = 18lbs
The ol' carcass piñata ! Who dares to poke it first?
Great Pic! Love the social dynamic with all the juves watching the eating from the periphery.
Note GE in tree in background. I thought GE's just dominate by swooping in and taking all the spoils.
They almost look cuddly 😃
No apparent tag on the outstretched wings. Is there a tagging convention, a standard placement of tags or are there a lot of untagged birds?
this guy really doesn't look to good - hopefully it is from only eating some gory wet carcass bits.
All ravens look wary & about to fly away to the R - something big this way comes. ...well maybe... 😃
Taking a lunch to go.
#scale BLK21 (421) = hard to read 18lbs?
GE weighing a majestic 11lbs
#scale i got the same weight ... 564 =19.5lbs and he is a bit of a show off
Raven punk gang is probably driving up in their new #truck to terrorize the area.
Oops tag looked like ORG25 but had no bio. Not sure what it should be. ...my bad ...
nice selfie!
It was looking quite OK almost artistic until I notice the flattened thrown back head that looks like it was hit by an anvil. 😃
#scale BLK34underline=21lbs but you already got the details! 😃 Maybe they are going to take turns weighing each other.
#human on a rope possibly practicing their high wire act?
Its a condor-the long neck & larger head indicate condor. See guide http://www.condorwatch.org/#/field-guide. TV's have small necks & heads
Bit of a stare down- who will blink first? Looks like raven is about to fold and flee
#scale Blk34 undrlined = 21lbs
Toby quickly tired of playing the "xylophone ribs" when he realized the audience had left long ago.
reminds me of a city construction crew- lots of mayhem but what really is done? )The boss is on L) -apologies in advance to any city workers
I really can not make heads or tails out on this pic... Called it a GE but it could be an inflatable raven for all I know.
I marked this as the "mutant" GE. Although the white underside of the wings looks like a condor. What do you think?
...or a pound of liver... 😊
It looks like a GE on the left and a condor behind on the right to me. Low cam perspective and the distance to the back kinda tricks the eye
Gauging by the view from below the raven, the next pic may involve a white blob on the screen if you catch my drift! 😀
Chuck jumped yelling "cannon ball!" Only to realize he was not at the pool and that this was going to hurt.
Mike quickly ducked behind the scale hoping that no one saw him tampering with the Weightwatcher scale yet again.
Going where ever he wants to, only to see what is the big deal about these cages, like a supervisor checking on the construction quality
#scale BLK64 (564)= 19lbs
OK here's a pic of that timeless classic - "A polar bear in a snowstorm" ... Yah I kniw, this comment is a real groaner...
Lots happening here! #scale BLK47underline=18.5lbs also PURP3 a young new release.
Not sure who is photobombing who?
1st time I've seen BLK47 underlined with her feathers ruffled taking on BLK25ulnd - she's normally so calm and reserved. You go girl!
OK this has got potential to make for a good story with lots of drama - GE vs. coyote. Who wins this round? ...stay tuned!!
Wow great pic -love this camera!
This is one of the 1st times I've seen condors near the jelly horse. They are way off in the distance, probably scared off like we are.
Nice tail feathers but of what?? I messed up and tagged Wht69 when it should be Blu69. (a very faded blue I might add!)
"Carcass in a Wheat field" one of VanGogh's earlier lesser known pieces that for whatever reason just didn't sell...
Don't know who she is but certainly one of the more colorful faces I've seen in awhile (with a little color on those knees as well.)
#scale BLK45 (345) = 21.5 lbs - sadly died in May2013.
Good eyes! Actually this a blind, set up in the field and used by the staff to observe condors up close and personal.
Hmmm the pic is a little blurry but it looks to me like the tag also has either 2 or 3 dots.
Great pic but I think my head hit the floor while trying to look sideways ...now I have a sore neck! 😃
Nice selfie
Oh boy! ...really nice another horse to watch !! 😮 I wonder how long til it turns to jelly?
Actually there is a V1 tag out there ...good eyes!
It's never fun at the back of the bus.
Nice low angle pic of a TuVu who is a little unsure of where to go next.
Everybody is looking at those styln' pantaloons but no one is going to say a word!
#scale Blk77 3dots = a youthful svelte 20lbs
#scale Blk18 3 dots = 23lbs Great picture -nice colours
#scale Blk74 =21lbs
A new strategy used by TuVu's to welcome the GE with open arms. Hmmm on 2nd thought maybe not a good idea even the raven is perplexed...
Looks like a nice big condor is having a friendly talk with at least 4 ravens -1 on right side & 3 on left not sure what is behind condor
#scale Blk 21 underlined = 19.5 lbs
Actually it is a black & white stillborn calf carcass. The markings though are a bit of an optical illusion...
#scale blk34 underline =21lbs
#scale blk11underline (411) = 17lbs
another very colorful carcass - very delightful and spring-like after seeing the horse. 😃
a wee bit of congestion at the drive thru diner. The mob still look orderly.
#scale YLLW 8 (208) = 23lbs and showing off some slightly red knees
A somewhat blurry pic of the elusive YLLW51. Wow, what an incredible wing extension!
hard to imagine ...a scenic raven pic!
How original, a rendition of an early post-industrial carcass 'n pail sunrise.
Balancing perfectly on wing tips- what a feat of strength!
You choose - making thuubbbing sounds before taking off or Thomas the Tank impersonations.
Somebody is not finishing their meal leaving the legs behind ...no intestine dessert for you!
Hard to read but #scale blk11 3dots = 18or19 lbs?
The McRaven clan is gathering around the black&white carcass tartan while wearing their traditional black tartans.
#misID blk78 1dot has no bio
Must be a record -8 tags! ...and I screwed up one (blu13)-back left had no bio not sure what is is ...maybe blu18?
For a second, it looked like the poor condor was impaled by a kamikaze raven! (...its only a flesh wound...)
I know that a certain horse carcass still is in a league of its own but there is something about this carcass that I also find disturbing
#scale red90 (190) - kinda hard to read scale but looks like 26lbs
#misID blu16 no bio. Now I'm paranoid is that actually a faded blk or purple tag??
Poss #misID Blk2 and Blk6 have no bios. Not sure but Bk6 may have 1dot. Blk2 tag hard to read possibly something else. Did I screwup?
Such geometric carcass precision ...left by builders of the pyramids
A little unusual - a GE not near the carcass, looking like it is about to leave. unless it has already had its fill.
Must be something tasty. Nice orderly eating habits being displayed by the older crowd. Look at the cheeks of the guy in the foreground!
Striking head colour displays- whats with the Goth look from Morticia on the right side showing off her a whiter shade of pale?
Literally splitting a gut but looking very pleased with life. Nice vibrant colours and possible red knees
From carcass to bones to dust in 3 easy steps!
Great memorial pic of blk13.
A very purposeful strut...
Colourful spring flowers are offset by the black & white austere carcass -an artful juxtaposition of life and death quite artistic statement
A fuzzy foggy pic of 147 (red47) not often seen -(camera shy I guess)
Love the face-its saying "look at me, I'm good and I know it!"
Oops, mis-labelled Yllw55 somehow called it ylw35. Sorry
Tag is not visible but this poor guy is not looking very healthy.
Wow someone is getting badly harried and getting some severe abuse from marauding flock of ravens. There's no relief in sight.
Young punk
oooohhh the look is saying everything! Somebody is getting a wee bit annoyed.
#scale blk10 (310)=19lbs
A pic from the new condor cam as she is coming in for a landing.
Todays burning question: is it a raven photobomb or a condor photobomb?
Mabel left in a huff when she realized that the dinner had not one but several hairs in it .
BLK75 2dots has no bio but tag looks ripped maybe it should be 3 dots?? Oops...
317 (BLK17 3 dots) and 219 (YLLW19) a successful breeding pair together out at the buffet.
Oh boy... here we go again!
Ummm, actually the tagged black headed birds are juvenile condors. Adult condors have the reddish or pink heads.
WOW-what a view! Folks spend big money for a dinner out and a view like this.
I'm not sure what to say about this pic - is it the condor closeup, the TV's lurking or the grinning carcass head. It's quite the story!
Spooky... Phantom ghostly rays emanating from carcasses oooooo- ooooooo.... Imagine a Vincent Price narration. 😃
#misID BLK 26 underline has no bio ... at least for me
Ravens seem a little confused now that the legs are stacked up besides the body. (Nice spring flowers by the way! )
pandemonium - somebody is not happy!
that how the ravens get from site to site. 😃
looks to me like a partially obscured picture of a small GE - when you zoom in you can see the telltale head & beak.
I'm a sucker for these low angle raven cam shots!
OK so I tried WHT18 and got no bio - Is this a #misID or some other tag? Other than that 4 of 5 birds were well trained showing their tags
#misID WHT31 has no bio. ( oh, please tell me this time it's right and that it's not operator error...yet again...!) 😃
Poss #misID ? It is hard to tell colour here but WHT47 shows no bio
#hare - oooooww dat wabbit! He now eats meat!
Looks like a TuVu in foreground. What do you think?
Similar to crop circles, here is the rare "carcass square" seen in ancient astronomy and in the determination of seasons.
Some of the more seldom seen condors
" It still reads the same as last week! So much for this Weight Watcher stuff ...I'm done! "
I hit the wrong key by mistake and marked nothing...sorry about that!
Poss #misID YLLW17 at back right has no bio. Or is it something else?
Squint long enough and you'll spot the coyote!
OK its a bit of a guess but I only know of one folded blue tag that has a "1" on the tag #scale BLU11 (311) = 24lbs
Oh yeah but that is gonna hurt when that ol'rubber band of intestines snaps! Shades of Wile E Coyote! 😃
#scale Red90 (190) = a rather hefty 25.5lbs!
Another tagged GE - tag is too hard for me to read. Could be a 5?
...Mildred discovers anti-gravity...
#scale Blk40 (340) = 21lbs
#scale Blk36 (336) =20lbs but died in 2008... 😦
Lets play pull the intestine! The condor equivalent to making a wish while pulling on the chicken wishbone. 😃
Not sure what you are seeing but to me it looks like bird is flying in front of a fence post - there is a row of posts in background.
#scale Blk10 underlined (310)= 18lbs
Here comes trouble!
Nice wingspan!
Oops ID'd tag as Blu80 but got no bio - maybe Wht80? The tag sure looks blu
A very ghostly looking coyote
#scale BLU11 (311)= a big 24lbs - kinda hard to read.
...look at me!!
Impressive! #dailyzoo
I think I strained my neck and nearly fell out of my chair! 😃 #scale BLK5underlined = 19lbs
Finished with the appetizer now striding with purpose for the main course.
BLK25 undrline 2days after release appears to be adapting quickly to outdoor wild carcass feasts. How quickly do they adjust to wild life?
WOW - majestic! #dailyzoo. No doubt about the tag no.!
I guessed red91but that has no bio ...my bad! Not sure what the tag is...
#scale BLK74 (574) =21lbs? A little hard to read...
At first blush it kinda looks like a mistimed crash landing!! 😃
Very interesting!! GE with a white tag! Hard to read possibly WHT10??
Ravens look so formal almost hesitant when the GE's are eating. I'd be like that too if eating with someone who could rip you to pieces 😃
So what happens when I really stomp on this thing?
Raven trying to impersonate a condor. It just can't be done.
Really unsure of what this is. Looks like a cow in background ... grazing?? ...hopefully on grass!!
Had some problms with this pic BLK34underlnd, BLK25underlnd & WHT38 all came up with no bio. Very odd... All had bios in other pics.
#scale BLK31 3 dots (317) = 21lbs with a contented look...after dinner??
Yllw 37 and 55, a couple who have had a several chicks, hanging out & eating out together. Must be true love.
Looks like just condors and the omnipresent never ending ravens. Only condors have wing tags. TV's tend to be shy & much smller in size
Kind of hard to know for sure but the "furry blob" left of the 2 calf carcasses looks like a rabbit carcass. Often these are also used.
I thought tag read Wht36 which is a misID maybe it is Wht38 or is truly a misID...
Finally, proof of the mothership! Clever disguise, it looks suspiciously like a Ford pickup. 😃
...ready ...set ...go! (very cool!)
Chester was appalled by the lack of manners and completely put off by the bustling lineup at the diner.
Again very artful with nice contrasts - black&white carcasses w/black ravens surrounded by colorful wildflowers 😃
#scale 525 = 25lbs
Hard to tell but is that the trapping cage at Ventana in background?
So is there a certain feng shui art to carcass placement? 😃
Looks angry that he cant get his selfie pic just right 😃
Almost could read all tags - a very cooperative well trained group!
OK, in my humble opinion, this is about as good as it gets for GE pics. Quite majestic!
An early preliminary practice session for upcoming mexican cliff diving competition.
Wow, what a free-for-all! Better than a Black Friday electronics sale!
Hmmm hard to say - looks like one of those inflated calf carcasses that just expand in size in the heat much like a balloon. (Kinda gross)
Ummm, ...errrr, nice GE butt. Too bad I marked it as condor. I must have been thrown off by the view.
Hmmm not sure what this is but almost looks bear-like. Need to see more pics of this sequence.
The rare & mysterious carcass elves leaving presents for all good condors.
weird tag on far L - Wht tag 1dot with no number
#scale blk14 underlined... 514 = 22lbs
LOL! 😄
Blk80 1dot = no bio. Hmmm, possible #misID or is it me? (...again!)
One of 547's early "baby pics" only 6 days after release. She's come a long ways and seems to really like this site based on numerous pics.
Just got this pic but appears that the mystery is solved. 😃
#misID ? Sure looks like Blk2 to me but has no bio
Odd tag looks like blk3 with small subtext F W? Not sure how to report this one but blk 3 shows no bio.
Convincing proof that ravens are indeed beamed down from orbiting mothership
Condor vandalism ...punks!...
Blk47 just 12 days after release, tentative, probably still adapting to the great outdoors
#owl reappears
#scale Red94=21lbs
#scale 310 =19lbs
"...and the leg bone is connected to the hip bone- the hip bone's connected to the ...whoa... whats this ! "
Hovering black tennis ball or some serious thermo nuclear radiation- I can feel my retinas burning even here!
A well fed healthy black bear! They are very opportunistic feeders that become easily habituated to easy food sources. Any parks nearby?
Ernie felt out of place wearing his new tophat and moustache to the dinnerparty. Seriously though is that a condor in treetop - backgrd (L)?
#scale Blk34 underline (534) = 20lbs & love the photobomb! ...nice touch...
Yllw 39 no bio poss #misID ?
Poss #misID ? I called it as Wht80 ( no bio) should have been Blu80
I knida thought that bird on L was a rather lonely GE wondering what to do next with the Condor entourage mass feeding .
Looking kind of proud and pleased. ...but now what do I do?
#scale 317 = 23 + 10 lbs
Exchanging fishing (or carcass) stories -"mine was this big...oh yeah, well, mine was THIS BIG!
Great question - perhaps, its a VERY Merry New Years Eve or at least quite the party! 😃
A guess on my part and hard to see clearly in this picture, but sometimes rabbit carcasses are used - hence the smaller size.
#dailyzoo ...great selfie!
Wow, nothing to see except a spectacular sunrise burning away the morning fog!
My bad - marked Blk94 with 3dots probably should have been 2 dots
#scale 525=20lbs
#scale blk01 underlined= 22lbs
Actually I think this is a coyote... Foxes tend to be a lot smaller...
#scale 236 = 17lbs
Junior is told that he is not allowed to eat at the party with adults
Don't know about everyone else, but I love these low angle raven cam pics!
Seperate lines at the all you can eat buffet.
Nice span
Possible #dailyzoo ? Do you think the weight (15lbs) is accurate, especially given the landing? #scale
...incoming...
Angry GE on the warpath "...where's my carcass?"
Unheard election platform speeches "...and if elected, I promise free carrion and carcasses for all! "
Thought that the dusty lens effect for was mood or effects lighting-for the old western look 😃
Looks like blk19 1dot no bio ...possible #misID or is it me?
Another headless condor on R !
I can't ID the mystery object on carcass. Possibly the back end of a coyote??
#scale blk30 =32lbs Do we report actual observed scale weight with box on or subtract 10lbs before reporting?
Ol lefty is still around!
What huh ...me? (Trying perhaps to drag carcass to a more private spot?)
Another contented diner... Man those are big feet!
Wow! What a majestic picture #dailyzoo worthy!
studying the ravens eating habits -"ah say that boy just has it aalll wrong! He's far too peckish."
I keep getting fooled by this blu1 tag, I think it's supposed to be a "7" but it sure looks like a 1 !
The ref is now in position ...and... Ding! Round 1 begins -Best two out three wins ...a carcass...
It just look like they are scheming and are to no good...especially the gang of troublemakers on the right
Love seeing 21(at back R) 28yrs old when pic was taken! Doing well thus far. Distinguished enough to easily use a pipe and smoking jacket
OK these tags sure looks like Blu7 & blk32 underlined but are showing no bio is it me or #misID ?
Thanks, very interesting - you mean they don't wear bibs? 😃
Two days after 525 was released
#scale blk74=18lbs
A badly disheveled condor - hope it was OK. Can't quite make out the tag.
More aerial duels
Somebody's not welcome for dinner!
Bad flight control instuctions or a wee skirmish over dinner reservations
#scale wht81=23lbs
very happy with his handiwork, flipping the camera to show off a new perspective
very artful carcass installation designed by Condor School of Art but what does it represent ? ...what is artist statement?
possibly aftereffect from last years Mardi Gras party or working on a new mask for next years costume (going as a raven)
Wile E Coyote suddenly sees the train rapidly approaching...
#scale blk32 = hefty 32lbs!!
Ylw?? Looking quite pleased about dinner and rubbing of ID tag number #misID
You go ...no you go ...nooo you go, ...nah I'll just watch
A valiant yet foolhardy and futile attempt by raven to ward off the approaching condors. Nice try!
TV's surrounding the solo condor. Does the maurading TV gang win? Most TVs I've seen in one pic.
Total mess up on my part I missed dots on 38 and called yellow tag orange and the blue tag blk. Oh fer three. My apologies...
A less than stellar view of a GE
What a fierce look! Sooo, do GE's ever smile or look happy? 😃
Picture of blk 88 shortly before he died...
Are you talking about the galvanized steel bucket? Other than that just condors'n carcasses. kinda sounds like the name of a new album
Kinda of sad- both are no longer around...
"hey! check it out the needle went around twice!"
#scale Blk 32 3dots = 18lbs
misID? blk6 1 dot - probably no dots
not a pretty sight- an unknown winged butt weighing 24lbs!
Tagged as wht9 oops must be something else or maybe #misID ?
#scale Blk36 20lbs
She's gonna blow! Peter&Tom worked the bike pump as long as they could-now they waited for an unsuspecting bird to peck a wee bit too hard
V. peculiar orange tag somewhat blurred so couldn't confirn tag no.
ACool pic of the historic "Black Bird Summit" meeting
#misID blk6. No bio. Did I miss 1 dot?
Hard to ID , smaller size but bigger than raven - a TV perhaps??
Raven showing off or stopping quickly for some take-out food
Something is coming to join dinner party.
#scale blk78 23lbs
#dailyzoo raven's perspective of an impending world of hurt. I like the raven in background looking over the "bunker" to see the outcome.
Everyone is contentedly resting after the big meal - "I can't believe we ate the whole thing! "
The very elusive and rare BlkV1!
Betty stood back aghast watching the chaos and lack of civility unfold in front of her at the BOGO sale.
#scale 22lbs took a guess thinking tag was Blk 10 w/3dot ...probably wrong
Rather rough looking GE, looks like it has some physiclal issues
#scale Blk78 underlined =21lbs
#misID wht01 no bio. Unless of course, it is not 01.
Oddest tag i've seen
Good action shot ! Possible #dailyzoo ?
Looks like Yllw79 but probably should be Yllw19 ?
3GEs and a great view! Doesn't get any better
A hard pic-I'm really not sure about my IDs. Looks like 1 condor, 3 TVs and profile at back left looks like an eagle? And the ravens...
Condors in middle of pic look really young much smaller than rest. How many juves are born in wild?
Mabel looks back to see if anyone is noticing her leaving the dinner party for a quick smoke
#misID Wht68 has no bio
Blk3 #scale=22lbs
Good thing no one records sound at these sites - It would drive me crazy!
OK, this is the 3rd time I have seen this picture - definitely time to #retire_pic
Lefty (1left eyed coyote)is back and looking healthy.
Tagged as Wht75 should have been Blu75- my bad
#misID Org11 has no bio. Chuck & John were trying to tell Frank that he has intestine stuck to his neck but Frank didn't believe them.
"Where's the food? Bring on the food! I'm getting hungry!"
Not sure of the tag but Blu15 shows no bio. Probably me not reading too well.
Condor cam in action - this is what it's like standing in the food line.
Great pic of early life ...RIP 01
The dinner crowd pauses and gasps as Toby busts a new break dance headstand move on the table.
Blk40 on #scale weighs 29lbs. Blk30 is jealous and demands a re-weigh.
Oops hit the wrong button -missed marking the entire pic!
Wow a bit of a crap shoot, hope I got'em all. Hope nobody got poked in the eye during the feeding. Whatever it was must have been delicious!
Hmmm twice in 2 days-what luck! however, the grass blade has moved.
Love the low perspective -is it a raven cam? 😀 Also love 34's double dare ya stare
Great pic #cougar covering the carcass with dirt &grass
Not sure who this is perhaps another pic can tell. Weighing 20lbs but looking a wee bit ragged. Is this an early sign of poisoning??
Great pic ...RIP...
Hmmm #misIDI marked as Blk77 (3dots) but comes up with no bio. Also #scale weight =17lbs And I agree it is a nice pic!
#scale looks like about 33lbs! (...a bit of a porker)
I guess there is a certain spartan artistic merit to this pic
Really cool pic! Any idea why they stand all together with wings outstretched like this?
Nice butt ...or is it the moon rising?
I guess that whatever it was here, it got away at the speed of light leaving behind a very photogenic sage brush.
Feeling a little lonely, surrounded and out-numbered the raven suddenly felt an growing urge to go without paying for the meal.
Tag looks like BLK7? Bio reads died in 2007 but pic is from 2013. Hmmm, my higher math tells me something's amiss but maybe my partial ID.
Possible #misID- looks like white36 but has no bio...
So, how low can you fly without touching the scale?
How about "...Where's the beef...?"
Wow, if looks could kill- somebody is very annoyed at the all of the ravens...come to think about it, that could be me too! 😃
Going for the take out.
I forgot to include #dailyzoo
I know its nothing but it sure looks like 2 small reflecting eyes in bckgrd above carcass on L. Do mouse eyes reflect light?
I marked as no carcass present 'cuz I think the whole thing was eaten. 😃 This guy is stuffed to bursting - don't go for the scale buddy!
impressive pic!
See mine are wider than yours.
Salvador Dali draws condors (...badly...) Good to know about distorted pics in the future, counting these was close to impossible
A condor carcass eating class with students taking note on the new eating technique
So what is the meaning behind blue & red colour highlights on scale? The blue is sometimes set on 18, 20lbs or higher.
That is one very red, sun burnt looking head! Better use a higher SPF the next time out.
The eagle has landed!
A bad day for bunnies...
Love seeing him. Good ol'number 21 - he lives well and does something right.
One very foolhardy raven, look at the eagle's stare! That raven is about to meet its maker!
This raven either thinks it is a condor or it is using a form of mind control to influence condor behaviour
Nice filleting job!
Unusual eagle behaviour-watching the carcass consumption from a distance and not being in the middle of the action
Oops marked tag as BLK96 should have been BLU 96
Well trained condor who passed the class on photo ID tag posing.
All hail the scale!
A rather well fed #cougar or #mountainlion - what ever name you prefer but it almost looks chubby
It's only medium rare -apparently it needs to be well done before its considered edible.
Thanks to Jenny Craig and the lack of carcasses, Beth got her weight down to 20lbs but she could not tell anyone her good news.
They averted their gaze in disgust as Dr. Abernathy continued to dine alone ignoring all of them.
Possible #misID ? IM pretty sure the tag reads BLU1 but it shows no bio.
Probably a volunteer bringing in a fresh carcass or someone who likes their beef well aged? 😃
Hmmm, flashing the crowd while on the #scale or selling watches ?
The football game and huddle became very confusing when both teams dressed in black jerseys.
Possible #misID ? I tagged it as BLK3 2 dots - could possibly be BLK3 w/3 dots or underlined (with part of line missing)
Full moon rising. 😃
Wadda ya mean the #scale only reached 21lbs? Make it go higher and what does my fortune card say?
On closer examination, i should have marked tag as YLLW62 not 82...sorry...
After not getting any immediate service or appetizers, they decided it was time to depart - not leaving a tip.
The little known & rarely used Keystone Docs (distant relatives of the Keystone Cops) practicing some open heart procedures.
Membership has its privileges.
The one eyed coyotes together in 1 picture
#scale but alas cant read weight
You bet -it's an eagle. Well, actually an eagle butt. Note the "hairy/furry" legs tipoff for an eagle
Online dinner reservation system failed resulting in skirmish for best seat at dinner table -back to the ol'first come first served!
The ravens were pondering the new art installation when the coyote appeared, shattering the pensive moment
and once again the earth was saved as in a flash the mothership was vaporized. Sadly crew (of ravens) escaped but thats another story! 😃
#blind or is it a camouflaged Rubic's cube?
#cow. -please say it ain't so... 😃
only ravens, condor and eagle in pic - I agree with Yshish ...eagle at front is the subject in question-only seen from a unusual angle
Listening to the sermon (on the mtn), checking out the drive-in menu, seeing the new food approaches, or is there a coyote on the left? 😃
Really nice catch! - this is the elusive one eyed (right) coyote! Proof that there are two one eyed coyotes (One right & one left eyed)
Whew that was lucky! The laser beam from the alien mothership just missed the camera!
Eating out -a dinner for two. Not sure about bird on left- looks bigger than a raven. Another possible eagle lining up at the diner??
#misID -possibly by me... No bio for Blue25 could it/should it be Blk25??
OK here's a heavy weight tipping the #scale at a little over 32lbs. Not a 100% sure of tag no.
#scale
Just missing TV to complete "the avian cycle" in 1 picture. Any pictures with all birds and animals in one pic?
Artistic pic - quite austere but one into which you can read many meanings. Any more artistic pics out there?
Raven on left looks like it's busting a new move, using another raven as a skate board. Have you been served-so you think you can dance?
Nice landing on #scale and nice weight ~29lbs. Heaviest I've seen thus far! Any bigger reported?
Uhoh - another horse carcass. 😃 but nice pic of approaching eagle
hmmm I know there is a carcass there but opted to not tag one cuz I couldn't see it) That or our buddy just didnt want his picture taken.
Wow, so this is condor cam in a scrum. Not even sure where to begin here! The 2 white tags look like they are both from 93.
The 1 left eyed wonder strikes again!
LOL -So that explains how ravens multiply and are poised to take over the free world
Rather intimidating. I wonder how long that raven lasted? Or if it was melted by the laser beam eye.
This is really cool! Possibly both one eyed coyotes, 1eyed right and 1eyed left in one picture!
You betcha - that is the left eyed wonder! Always great to see her.
Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun??
Mistagged as Blk4 - I should have tagged a Blk x4 . ...sorry
#bear
One of condors on left side looks like it has something draped around its neck - like a necklace of sausages!
There must be a strong wind - all the ravens are leaning to the left. 😃
Mis tagged wht 17 s/b wht11 - ...I think...
Ribs to go?
#scale 22lbs with a full nearly busting gut. Looks like a balloon that about to pop!
Condor on far left has unreadable remnants of possible tag on wing.
I guessed Blu76 (...wrong...) maybe Blu78? Sorry about that
Watching the banquet from the vantage point of the #scale
For my next trick, while standing on this #scale, I will jump this giant log.
Must be a colour x-ray of a zombie arm... 😃
I guessing carcass?
OK that BLK73 (centre) was misID'd by moi. But that sure looks like a 73! ...could it be 13 instead??
WOW what a scrum!! Something must be extraordinarily tasty.
I'm guessing eagle??
A most unflattering shot of an eagle...
Very cool -this is the most coyotes I've seen in 1 picture!
Yllw60 has no bio. Maybe I mis-tagged ...is it possible it should have been Wht60? ...but sure looks yellow
A ministry of silly walks candidate! I like the leg extension/kick - must have been a runner in a previous life.
OK i just fell for the ol'4 dots looking like an underline trick. Any way of seeing these older comments prior to tagging to prevent repeat
So are gophers carniverous going after meat in addition to their normal foraging?
An alien carcass circle.
2 ravens in awe, suddenly realizing an easy good dinner is now gone.
First time that I've seen anything but dead bodies at this site with an eagle & condor close together!
My favourite ad nauseum pic (...not...) I've lost count as to how many times that I've see this one. Have you had one that haunts you? 😃
Looks like WHT4 on right ...no bio...
Haven't seen many TV's untll now.
Wht 63 is showing no bio. I'm done for the night - no mojo or bad karma today...
OK I am REALLY messing up today - the glare on tags is killing me! mislabeled tags as BLK2 (may be purple?), Blu86 ,wht16 all show no bio
I may have mis-labelled teh tag. I called it Blu10 but there is no bio. Maybe something else ( ie. 70?) ...my bad...
Could be 47?? If so, does he just wait for the next carcass shipment. Does he ever fly to other sites???
Sorry just cant get resolution to read white tags. Whoever is on #scale with the rather big gut appears to weigh an hefty 26 lbs.
Very cool! You'd figure the guy on the right would at least put on jacket that fits when with such distinguished company
Slim pickings for the men in black
Looking positively majestic on #scale and quite content ...RIP...
Standing in line to get weight and fortune. #Scale is too hard to read
bio shows 438 being released in Dec2008 - pic is from 2006... Did I misID? glare prevents accurate scale reading.
showing some good manners, waiting for everyone to arrive before eating. ...or is she stuffed from over consumption and now relaxing?
LOL - I'm going with motorboat sounds.... I wonder if they could strap on a GoPro cam & follow the action ?
Sometimes pics are just a little disturbing. I know nothing can be done about it...but first thing in the morning while sipping a coffee??
Not totally sure but it could be our 1eyed wonder, an alpha female, eating with alpha male companion while others stay in bckgrd.
Or is she winking at the camera? 😃
Probably 2 different coyotes-they can sustain occasional injuries while living life outdoors 24/7 with no medicare. She's looking healthy!
What with the stripe on the coyote? Is this some related species?
I'll never tire from marking / viewing this pic. What a view!
Cool action shot - if this was imax, I may have been sick!
I mislabelled the tag as red96 -oops my bad. Looks like it should be either Red 94 or 90. I'm missing things tonight -no concentration.
I just can't tell what this is or what's going on in middle of pic...
Awkward eating style by condor on right- lying on the food ...no manners...
While at the picnic, Mabel took a selfie.
...or edge of pic is radioactive!
Looks like someone wanted to be in the pic!
#scale looks like a ~23 pounder. I wonder what is the heaviest bird seen thus far?
OK, it is a bit of a guess on my part but when I stand on my head, turn sideways & squint with 1 eye, then I see two carcasses
Is that a golden eagle (centre of pic) -on left side of condor scrum)? Condors seem to be uncommonly close to possible eagle
Hard to tell but noting how crows are closely watching (and staying away),it could be a golden eagle.
Nice scenic view ...with a carcass...
Air traffic controller watching the landings
Far R-partial tag 3? with possible dots on tag as well - hope there is a better pic ...or better tell the birds to shift over next time!
Charlie unsuccessfully tried to give CPR ...and then started to get hungry...
#human or is it a zombie???
I am a wee bit rusty- I can't tell if it is blue or wht 4. ...my bad...
Looks like 85 black or blue in background i said blue but ID was unknown -could be blk85 insyead?
The very rare "salvador dali" coyote usually only seen in museums
#40 (in the middle) is lining up his next putt-thinking it will break left to right & is a fast down putt
Waiting for round 1 of the ultimate cage match to begin. "And in this corner weighing 24lbs and wearing the white tags is..."
Looks like a conga line is beginning to start up-Party on!
Something's going on or about to happen between these 2-body language says it all
Too close to count and comment! Can you please tell them to step back, stand behind the fence or come in one at a time?
#strangebird this one has stumped me. Beak seems too big in proportion to body. Is it still a raven? Maybe a groucho marx raven 😃
#misID ? Blk12 w/2dots has no bio- not sure if I messed up? Could be Blk42 w/3dots??
LOL -good one! Said just like Gary Larson.
Good table manners looks like raven is taking a bird bath? ...hopefully before dinner...
Behaviour of adult condor lying down on left looks unusual
Some possible candidates for the dept of silly walks
#misID ?? I noted tag as Blue16 -maybe I was wrong?
Is this a view from a condor cam? Perhaps coming in for a landing? 😃
#misID. WHT1 is listed as unknown.
Interesting dynamic b/w eagle&coyote. Always wondered who is the big boss at dinner (and still don't know) they just ignore each other
Wow great view! As somebody once sung - "I can see for miles 'n miles!" Now Who was that? (...OK that was bad) 😃
I marked BLK78 maybe should be marked as 18?? Apparently BLK78 died on June 2008 this pic is taken Nov 2010. Odds are I'm wrong - my bad
#hare ...and seeing the pile the bones it is obvious it is a Monty Python rabbit.
Hmmm it looks like the party is over.
...A family meal! It looks like everyone minded their table manners.
Its turning into a large balloon and we all know what happens to balloons when they get overly inflated! :0
Possible #misID but it may have been me... Blk32 underlined and wht 8 had no bios. Looks like Wht 8 is already noted as an unknown
ORG 21-born in1980. Makes him 33yrs old with 2 wives and 19 kids! Imagine his child care payments!
#misID Blk1 shows up as unknown. (At least it sure looks like Blk 1!)
The one eyed coyote returns! I wonder what is the earliest pic that it has been spotted on?
Oops just checked your Database and noticed 94 is already noted as having a unknown bio... False alarm! ...My bad
#misID WHT94 is unknown
Poss #zombie ? I tagged condor on L as Blk12 ID'd as 412 which died Jan 24, 2012 but pic was taken Oct2012.
#misID ...well maybe... I marked tag as BLU 16- maybe it should be BLK 16? I couldn't change my choice- i was committed ...sorry
So who is in more pics- BLK 43 or BLK47? ...Who eats more?
Raven scrap!
Incredible lighting - it makes the picture seem quite dreamlike
A pile of bones but wow what a view!
It looks like the ravens are winning this round at the dinner table, they're keeping the 2 juves at bay away from the food.
Not sure if that is a WHT10 or 70. I marked tag as WHT10 and got an unknown.
Something seems amiss BLK70 & BLUE70 are reported with same bio (370)
#misID WHT57 ( or is it supposed to be 51?)
You stay there and we'll stay here ...deal?....
What a scrum! Kinda hard to get an accurate head count. Can you train them to stand first in a line for a proper tally before feasting?
All the ravens are ogling!
2pairs of nice (condor-like) legs at top L on carcass
Another day after the party - wow, spectacular views!! Where are these locations?
525 released just 5 days before pic, only a yr old. Do the juves often lie down like this?
Party's over!
Red47 (147) -she is 16yrs old at time of pic with 6 chicks! A great story!
Enjoying the view before dinner
So how do you turn this thing on?
Ready, set go! And who wins this years all-you-can-eat feast? My money is on the guy on the left. 😃
And looking quite content -not caring what the scale reads! What is on R side of pic looks like a flying carcass hoof with a rope?!
What is with the square blind in background? Is it really a blind?
Oh good, I was going to blame it on the beer!
Looks like everyone is lined up to watch the light show with the pulsing yellow & red spotlights before having dinner -is camera in Vegas?
I did not properly ID BLK94 or BLK90 - apparently I have clumsy fat fingers ...my bad...
not sure if the camera is blurry or if it is just my eyes. Looks the same either way 😃
Not sure if my ID is correct. BLK 3 (#303) is listed as died on Oct 23, 2009. - a possible #zombie ?
small unknown #bird that wants to grow up into something big like an eagle or condor
eagle's solitude at the dinner for one is shattered by the roving hooligan gang of ravens. I can only imagine the noise...
or maybe godzilla!
The big guy (orange 63) is 23yrs old! Looks like he is presiding over the dinner event - perhaps pondering the catering arrangement.
looks like a showdown - winner take all!
Looks to me like he qualified in the Olympic scale high jump competition and is going to awarded the gold medal!
A bouncing 20 pounder - I wonder what is the heaviest recorded?
#hare ...but i marked it as a coyote! Didn't know what else to call the little guy
Just a guess but my bet is that it looks like the backside of a raven is perched on top of carcass
I really don't know what to say about this pic. Some sort of abstract modern art installation??
#misID WHT 87 is unknown & impatiently waiting for his turn to eat!
OK, OK, if i didn't know any better, I'd say this one is smiling at the camera! ...a contented happy smile...
#misID Blue 1 ...or hmmm, on second thought, is it Blue 11?
I just gotta say some of these pictures reflect absolutely gorgeous scenery. Where are these locations?
#misID WHT9 is unknown.
Wow - cool pic!
OK, I am not sure where to start - possibly a tentacle of the long lost giant squid ? 😃
Settling in for a good chew - got a ways to go!
Wow he has 9 offspring with 111 very impressive
Almost a full moon rising
A serious raven skirmish with lots of onlookers.
A pair of big feet at top of pic-not sure maybe condor-like?
#misID WHT 38 & possibly RED5?
or profile view for a mug shot?
oops hit the wrong button & missed everything! not enough coffee.
"Come with me - let me show you something!"
...spooky - like a scene out of a horror movie! ...Cujo or hound of the baskervilles?
The morning after ...or maybe the lineup before the next food party
" You called me a what??"
#misID ORANGE 21 shows up as unknown
#boar - looks like it is trying to cover up or bury the carcass
looks like Junior is about to be taught a lesson on table manners!
gotcha - just did it.
I marked the 2 eyes in the distance as a coyote. Also it looks like the one coyote in middle of pic may be blind in one eye.
I wonder what is off to the left that has all 3 coyotes attentions?
#misID - bio for blk 99 reads unknown.
kinda cool - bio stated that 206 (& 255) are responsible for 4 chicks! Great success story! What are the most chicks from one couple?
Action shot - Looks like Junior had it and drove the ravens away
couldn't tell if the tag was blk or blue. I said blue but guessed wrong because the bio was showing unknown. ...oops...
Blue or is it blk 94
#misID blk or blue 68 -i guessed blk but maybe blue?
#misID I may have noted the tag incorrectly it looks like Blue 56 (centre of pic) ...or is it ??
my favorite carcass pic (not really)! Just seems to appear V. OFTEN - hope that I am marking it the same each time.
#misID BLK84 still is unknown
another #misID ? WHT 38 is now just unknown ( ...good news, at least no longer listed as dead 😃 )
"Now son, look at me! You got to eat your meat before you can play outside!"
#misID Blue 28 is still unknown
#misID - it looks like WHT1 is not ID'd
#misID - it looks like Blue 34Underlined is not ID'd
Love the guy in the foreground - looks like he's suntanning & using scale as headrest just needs some shades. 😃
some heavy plotting going on - kinda like the Hatfields and McCoys
Everybody is focused on this "scrap" when the really big meal ticket is behind them. ...maybe too fresh & hasn't aged enough yet 😃
when I just marked this pic - tag #51 stated unknown condor w/ no bio info...
...before or after the feast?
BLK 44 = 644 bio indicates hatched April 2012 Died Nov 2012 yet pic taken 2010-10-31 shows it alive and quite big. ...hmmmm...
black bear in a coal mine at night. 😃
First pic that I noticed that the ravens are closer than the condors to the carcass
oops, my bad - hit the keys too quickly & missed all ID's on photo
Juvenile condor on R is lying down near carcass. Is this a sign of poisoning or natural behaviour?
UFO landing lights??
interesting dynamic, with how the ravens are watching the coyote lounging in the distance in the grass
WOW what a collection! The most I have seen so far in one pic (22) Sadly only a few recognizable nos. Looks like a mortician convention 😃
Action shot Looks like a wee tussle or turf war for dominance
Front L leg of nearest coyote is swollen /damaged. Can some of the more distinctive coyotes be ID'd from cam site to site?
"I think I dropped over there - 5 bucks for whoever finds it first!"
perhaps simply too many :0
"I can't read it - its upside down. Whatzit say?" "Uh - I'm not telling, til you get off!
The big guy is coming in for landing hopefully not a eat 'n run!
Cowboy Raven going to the condor rodeo, but will he stay on for the 8 second count?
note very distinctive white stripe down back of coyote. Is he recognizable in other pics?
not a 100% if condors are present or not - one probable but not too certain about the other bigger birds could be T. vultures?
Adult on left is all alone - is this a sign of possible lead poisoning behavior?
He looks absolutely stuffed.
... the approaching UFO... ( actually probably just the camera digital sensor being blinded by the intense sunlight)
OK - I really don't know what this is! Looks kinda alien - is there a spaceship nearby?? Cool antenna...
"Take a step closer and watch what happens! Come'on make my day! ...are you feeling lucky, punk!"
no obvious carcass - just a big bone 'n fur yard. Are the boys & girls trying to impersonate cows in a field? 😃
everybody is flying - no carcass - I guess all of the customers are disappointed and are going to another eating establishment
a raven selfie! ...who knew!
Wow - the guy on the R is HUGE! - must be prehistoric! or had a very big meal 😃
My eyes are giving out on me, I can't tell what that thing is on the right side of the picture. Left background looks like a condor +??
...well, they are having dinner out...
25 ravens too many!
Oh dear - another all you can eat special !
probably very upset with his weight ("...this thing can't be right!")
something peculiar - the bio said that the condor ID'd in pic (#644) was born and died in 2012 but the date stamp in picture is Oct 2010
A condor rush hour traffic jam - (or a rush for the buy one get one free food bin)
...very cool ... Based on the big belly, the cougar now looks well fed. Also looks like it is covering up the carcass with dirt.
On the left center, is this an adult feeding a juvenile? Or perhaps teaching some table manners? 😃
Same as deandsusan, I start with this image every time I sign in.
had to guess at distance from carcass even though I couldnt't see any carcass
I think this is at least the 10th time that I've seen this image. Am I on some sort of loop ( like Ground Hog day?)
looks like s/he is impatiently waiting for food to be brought to them. ...or doing a penguin impersonation
moonrise in background ...or the eye of something really BIG!
I think this is a boar
Some clear numbers on tags but all condors are reported as unknown.
oops - I hit the enter key prematurely before ID-ing any of the birds. ...sorry about that!
"The view is pretty good at the top - I'm king of the world"
condors are too close to camera - can't see carcass for accurate distance estimation.
Absolute raven mayhem - I wonder what spooked them all!
Couple of probable condors (at least) but too close to camera to ID. Also can not see carcass for proper distance determination.
Not sure about the bird in lower left corner. I tagged it as a juvenile condor due to mottled white feathers.
#boar ...but - I had to record it as a coyote.
not sure if there is some animal between the 2 carcasses-marked as coyote but I am not sure given the dark low light - v.low confidence...
"...Step away and leave the carcass to ME!"
The TV is completely intimidated.
...pure raven mayhem! I can almost hear it!
I tagged red 60 but afterwards realized there is no red60 😦 Probably should be red80. I should have known better
...my bad
Julia, who usually moved in a very adroit, nimble & cool manner suddenly slipped, landing face first into her meal
...or so she claims...
#scale BLK74 (574) = 20.5lbs
#misID BLK 26 underline has no bio
... at least for me
Ravens seem a little confused now that the legs are stacked up besides the body.
Also love 34's double dare ya stare
Great pic #cougar covering the carcass with dirt &grass
Not sure who this is perhaps another pic can tell. Weighing 20lbs but looking a wee bit ragged. Is this an early sign of poisoning??
Great pic ...RIP...
Hmmm #misIDI marked as Blk77 (3dots) but comes up with no bio. Also #scale weight =17lbs
And I agree it is a nice pic!
#scale
I did not properly ID BLK94 or BLK90 - apparently
I have clumsy fat fingers ...my bad...
not sure if the camera is blurry or if it is just my eyes.
Whatzit say?"
"Uh - I'm not telling, til you get off!
