Low camera angle obscures condor IDs

26 condors in one photo, but only one could be ID'ed. A second camera mounted high on a pole, pointing down, would yield MUCH more data, I believe. So few numbers were visible due to incredible crowding around the carcasses.

Thank you for your comment! The field crews do try and re-adjust the cameras when the angle is off but sometimes it is difficult to put up another pole, etc. Hopefully this was not a common issue for you. Thanks for participating in Condor Watch.
