tag colours

  Could you please add a section in the field guide showing the different tag colours - not sure I'm correctly differentiating blue from purple, red from orange.

  I agree, the color choices listed do not match the colors of the tags.

  Yes! We have actually updated the field guide to include photos of tags, but it hasn't been uploaded to the site quite yet. Please check back soon and thanks for pointing this out.

  May I suggest that if project is ongoing, that matte finish tags be used? That might make it easier to distinguish between colours when the light is "wrong". I have particular trouble with black and green with light flare.

  Are the tags coloured on both sides? I am under the impression that whenever I see a tag from the "wrong" side, it looks white.

  You shouldn't be able to see the wrong side of the tag, jokergirl. They're stiff plastic attached kind of like a cuff around the wing bone of the bird. Unfortunately, that's just the light bouncing off the plastic.
