Poisoning

I can't remember exactly how it's worded, but on the Bio sections for the condors, how do you know how often the bird is poisoned? I've had some say 'often', others 'rarely' - one died of it! (I understand how you know about that 😉 ) but how do you guys know about the Condors who are still alive?
Thanks!

Because of the history of lead poisoning in this population, routine health checks and blood lead tests are performed 1-2x per year. Targeted checks are also done if birds are acting sickly. Birds with high lead levels are treated by zoo staff, although many still die of lead toxicosis.
