Use of Lead Ammunition.

After reading through several websites, I am very shocked by the fervent opposition to ban lead ammunition. I live in England, so it is none of my business what American hunters do, but the 'Hunt For Truth' (section; myths) website has left me gobsmacked. It really has!

Yes, but there are some good and informative websites out there - have you seen this one: http://huntingwithnonlead.org/

My ignorance of shooting and hunting is total, so I feel completely out of my depth. For the sake of balance, I guess I should link to websites explaining how it is in the UK. Condor Watch probably isn't the place for gun politics.
From the Royal Society For The Protection of Birds: 'Landmark ruling over use of lead to shoot wildfowl'

From the Countryside Alliance: 'Shooting'

Personally, I've never fired a gun, but then I've lived in cities all my life. There are badger-culling issues here at the moment, and I guess there might well be a case for professional hunting. Shooting pheasants on the moors seems to attract some people.
